The System
Roading a wheel loader over rough terrain will cause a fore and aft pitching motion to the vehicle. This is common to all wheel loaders.
The pitching motion is reduced when a Bucket Suspension Control is installed. The control provides the lift side lines of the boom cylinders with an accumulator on and off control. This control, when its engaged, allows the hydraulic fluid to press against the accumulator. The boom cylinders now become shock absorbers helping to cushion the up and down motion of the bucket. This stabilizes the entire vehicle.
The control is operated manually or full auto for the cab.* It is left engaged during the roading of the vehicle. It should be disengaged while loading the bucket or for operations needing precise control of bucket position.
.......* With AR1000
AR1000 Description
The AR1000 unit turns the Ride Control into a fully automatic system. There is no need to manually turn on or off the system. When the boom is lower than 18" off the ground (or at your designated height), the system will turn off. With the AR1000, the Ride Control system will automatically turn on when lifting over 18". The AR1000 protects the system from hydraulic spike loads. It also adds to the operators control.
